Hurricane Dorian was one of the most powerful hurricanes recorded, horribly devastating the Bahamas. The Bahamas is in the midst of one of the greatest national crises in their country’s history, and for this reason, we are donating a percentage of our sales from September to December to help survivors. Thousands of homes, businesses , and entire communities have been wiped out. Our hearts break watching the news, and we want to make sure we help as much as we can.
How can you help?
The best way to support the relief and recovery effort is through a monetary contribution, as well as the donation of specific goods. We are donating to the Key Biscayne Community Foundation for Bahamas. They have already raised $51,000, and we plan on helping them double that! If you would like to contribute supplies, the committee is receiving limited supplies as well. You can drop off at the Square, 260 Crandon Blvd., Unit 38; Drop-off times from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The National Association of the Bahamas also has a list of trusted partners that has been reviewed and approved. It includes organizations from all over the world, trying to raise as much money for this cause. It also includes locations where donations are being accepted, as well as a list of specific goods that are needed right now.
GoFundMe has also set up a page of verified fundraisers from individuals and companies involved in the relief effort. We ask you to research, and make sure you are donating to the right people. Let's step up and help our neighbors that have lost everything in The Bahamas.
